This spectacular URISA Caribbean GIS Conference now on its fourth leg, boasts speakers from across the region and the wider world. Outstanding speakers from the Caribbean hail from: Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, Trinidad, and the US Virgin Islands. Those participating from outside of the region are from North America and Europe. A number of exhibitions will also be present from the many companies being represented at the conference.
Spatial will be in attendance with three booths geared towards our partners: Trimble, ESRI and other Spatial services.
Spatial personnel will also be making presentations on the following topics:
- The Technological Issues Involved In The Establishment of a National Clearinghouse for Jamaica,
- Creating a Framework for Data Sharing and Access with the Jamaican National Spatial Data Infrastructure and
- GPS Infrastructure and the Development of the Spatial Data Infrastructure.
